This new website reflects a new incarnation of the band Greenleaf Ave. Many of you know the band simply by the name Greenleaf. Well, continuing forward with Greenleaf's rich history and a wealth of songs in our catalogue, we are positioning ourselves for a strong positive future. In order to single ourselves out in the midst of several other bands named Greenleaf, we are moving forward as a new entity: Greenleaf Avenue. It was a tough decision, but in the end we hope to blow the road wide open towards our new future.
Greenleaf Avenue includes members Peter Torres, Sol Rodriguez, Allan Benton, and Hector Herrera

| Vote for Our Video and Help Us Get Signed!!!! |
|
Tuesday, December 04
|
Official voting for the Star 98.7 "Rock Band" contest has started. We are one of 175 eligible unsigned bands in Round 1 that has entered the contest, so we need MAJOR help and support to get past Round 1 and into Round 2. If you haven't watched the video, you can watch it here, but in order to really help we need you to VOTE and VOTE again!!!!
It’s very simple to vote. All you have to do is go to the radio station website, choose our song entitled “Seriously” (which is about halfway down the page), input your email address at the bottom of the page, and press the “Vote” submit button. There is only 1 vote per email address. However, if you have more than one email address you could vote once for each email address that you have. Good thing I have several email addresses.
Here’s the catch: you have to “confirm” your vote by opening your email and clicking on a link in a response email that the radio station sends you. Your vote doesn’t count unless you click on the link in the response email!
Anyways, here’s the link to the radio station contest:
http://star987.com/cc-common/mainheadlines3.html?feed=216310&article=2403680
All your support is greatly appreciated. Don’t be shy about sharing this link with other people too! If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks!
P.S. After you confirm the response email, the web page with the poll to vote will no longer contain the poll circles to make another selection. In order to vote again, you either have to use a different computer, use a different browser like Firefox, or clear your temporary internet files.

| Rockin' Melrose! |
|
Wednesday, February 22
|
Hey there! It's Rose here to give another lil' Rock Report on what's been up with GA these days. If you didn't make it out to see our boys
at The Gig in February 2006, you
seriously missed out! In one of their more hardcore
sets, Greenleaf Ave rocked this Hollywood hotspot as part of a new venture with The Gig and AlternaTV(C).
Rommel Alfaro called this show "a breakout performance for Greenleaf Avenue. From the first song it's was apparent that their performance has
risen to a new level of showmanship and musicianship." Now as featured artists with The Gig & AlternaTv(c) Greenleave Avenue will soon be streaming online for your enjoyment live and anytime! That said, we'd love to have you chillin' with us and the music live and in person, so stay tuned and be sure to check the
calendar for upcoming shows! And......

| Favorite Memory of 2005: Battle of the Bands! |
|
Monday, January 09
|
2005 was a great year for Greenleaf Avenue, and it's only getting better! Winning the Battle of the Bands from Ear Candy Cabs was definitely a highlight. Not only was it incredibly exciting and humbling, but the cabinets themselves sound amazing. Allan has completely ditched the SWR cabinet he's used for about 10 years and is using his BassBomb cabinet exclusively! I love the BuzzBomb guitar cabinet too and have gotten great results recording. It's punchy with clarity and loud, loud, loud! The Eminence speakers thatwere included really shine. I would bring it to shows more often if I wasn't so lazy (I'm spoiled carrying around my little Mesa Boogie amp), but I definitely plan on bringing it to the big shows!
We put up a bunch of pictures in the gallery here. As you can see from the pictures, the craftsmanship is impeccable. Tim, the owner of Earcandy has even placed a piece of hand stamped leather with the Earcandy name on the back. Nice personal touch. They didn't spare any expense. Neither did Eminence. The speakers are top of the line. One of my favorite parts is the honey-cloth grill on the BuzzBomb. It's beautiful. The whole thing is a custom piece of work he made specifically for us and based them on the colors of our business card. These things are one-of-a-kind and we are very proud to have them! Thanks Tim and everyone at Earcandy and Eminence!!

| Our New Blog: Indie Music Adventures! |
|
Monday, January 09
|
You might be thinking, "Not another music promotion blog"! But the difference here is that we are actually a band trying to make it in the real world, not just someone trying to sell books. Don't get me wrong, a lot of those guys share invaluable information, but if you want one source where the important stuff is compiled, you've come to the right place. We'll also let you know what has worked for us and what hasn't, and would appreciate comments about what has worked for you. The more knowledge shared, the closer we'll all get to our goals!

| News Updates |
|
Wednesday, September 28
|

It probably seems like we haven't updated things for a while, but that's not because we don't have anything going on, it's because we have so much going on! Here's a quick bulleted list:
- Recording new material
- Developing new look for web site and promo stuff
- Learning new material (original and cover) for longer shows
- Photo sessions
- Communicating with industry reps...
- Continuing to play weekly
- Communicating with custom cab company about Battle of the Bands prizes
Another thing we're excited about is the relationships we've established with some of the venues we've been playing lately. The Gig has been a great place to us in Hollywood and DiPiazza's in Long Beach is the best all ages venue anywhere, but these places do showcase style shows where each band only gets about 40 minutes of music. Fortunately we've started developing relationships with some great established venues in other areas who will let us (and you) play all night long. ;) Townhouse Cocktails is a fun spot on the beach in Venice ...

| The guys rock Stubricks |
|
Thursday, September 01
|
Last Thursday, August 25th, Greenleaf Avenue rocked Stubrick’s Steakhouse and Bar in Fullerton, CA and that’s all there is to it. With two acoustic sets intermingled with and complemented by the groovin' Savagekat, fans could not possibly be disappointed with the way these guys shook things up. Greenleaf Avenue played old original faves like “Kingdom of Sense” and "Top Speed" and new ones like the upbeat and genuine “Golden Glimpse” and the rock steady “Seriously”......
